The International Bar Association has just announced that for the first time in its 57 year history law firms can advertise in IBA publications, and individually sponsor socials at IBA conferences.

The new policy provides increased opportunities for law firms of all sizes to access the IBA’s 16,000 members on a regular basis. Through the placement of advertisements and the sponsorship of conferences, law firms are now able to reach both an extremely diverse group of senior international lawyers as well as an extremely targeted group of specialists via the IBA’s committees and specialist functions.

This fundamental change in policy is the direct result of the internationalisation of the legal profession, and the changing views of the IBA’s membership base, and we hope that as an IBA supporter you will welcome this new opportunity with open arms.

The first opportunity to gain access to these new promotional channels is the August News for Members, the September 2004 edition of the IBA’s flagship publication, International Bar News, and in the August edition of the popular and widely-read International Business Lawyer.

Naturally, there are a limited number of places, so we would encourage you to be in touch as soon as possible. Finally, we have a variety of discounts in place for organisations that wish to select a number of promotional opportunities such as journal advertisements, online advertisements and conference sponsorship, including our Annual Conference this October in Auckland.

Please find further information on all opportunities in the Media Pack, which you can download here and we look forward to speaking with you in the near future.
Yours sincerely,

Kathryn Davies
